Career & Professional Background:
Daniel LaMazza is a working professional who attended Baruch College full-time while working full-time in the legal Division of Pfizer Inc as a project coordinator in the EHS group for 2 ½ years. He has begun his post-baccalaureate career at Credit-Suisse as an Analyst in Supply Management starting in July 2008. His overall responsibilities have him engaged in financial and business performance analysis, contract, spend and savings reporting as well as concept design for a new Market Analysis to better equip the company procurement and sourcing activities.
Sigma Alpha Delta:
Daniel has been one of the most industrious members in the history of Sigma Alpha Delta. He engineered and oversaw a profound shift in the society’s philosophy. He joined in the Fall of 2006 and played a crucial role in the PR & Marketing Committee, which was then spearheaded by Belkys Ramirez. His tasks during the semester were to assist other officers in event planning and set-up and to create and appropriately distribute a bi-semester newsletter. In the Spring of 2007, Daniel was elected to the Executive Board as the Alumni Committee Chairperson. His passion, charisma and diligence inspired his fellow committee members to partake in the ownership of the society. Consequently, four of his committee members were elected to become leaders within the society and two of them became eventual Presidents. Due to his staunch principles, assiduity and embellished resume, Daniel was unanimously elected as the President of Sigma during the elections. During his presidency, he fortified ties with other clubs and organizations, was instrumental in the production of Sigma’s staple events and seamlessly guided the organization to what is now alluded to as the “Sigma Renaissance”.
Education:
Daniel’s educational background is unorthodox. He was a High School dropout who later resurrected his academic ambitions by completing his General Education Diploma (GED) at the age of 18. Daniel went on to complete his Associates of Science Degree in Business Administration at LaGuardia Community College, finishing with an overall GPA of 3.7. He was then admitted into Baruch College (CUNY) and went on to complete his BBA in Finance and Investments in the Spring of 08. His aim is to one day work in international development, handling large international/domestic transactions and assist both small and large companies in their path to success and profitability.
Personal Life:
Socially, Daniel enjoys his friends within Baruch and Baruch’s Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Delta. His passions are dancing and riding his motorcycle.
Motto/Belief:
