Public Relations and Marketing

Chairperson: Nikita Singh

Committee Mission: To actively promote Sigma and further familiarize the Baruch and outside community with our organization and its events, activities, and ultimately, goals.

Marketing & Public Relations Goals: To create and implement a strategic marketing campaign to increase Sigma’s visibility and attract new members. This includes the following:

  • Create advertising campaigns to complement our marketing strategies.
  • Develop the public relations aspect of the Committee by building and maintaining strong relationships with faculty and staff, student organizations, prospective and current Sigma members, alumni, and other committees within Sigma Alpha Delta.
  • Raise money for appropriate use within the Baruch Community as well as for altruistic acts in the Greater NYC Community.
  • Recruit and develop committed members that will be instrumental in the successful completion of the Committee’s missions and goals.
  • Utilize and enhance the expertise of the other Sigma committees to plan and execute events.

Vice-Chair:

Overall the Vice-chairs ssumes responsibility for the efforts of the Committee in the absence of the Chair, maintains sufficient contact between Committee members, oversees new developments and initiatives.

The PR & Marketing Committee consists of three Vice Chairs:

• Vice Chair of Promotions: Angel Chen

• Vice Chair of Advertising: Gaby Ramirez

• Vice Chair of PR: Helen Liang

  • Advertising Manager
    • Oversees and assists in the initiation, development and execution of advertising campaigns, including events flyers, brochures, and promotions plans.
  • Advertising Specialists
    • Develop and update graphic and written forms of advertising for Sigma.
  • Communications Manager
    • Oversees all aspects of communication within the Committee as well as between other committees and members. Works directly with the Information Specialists on committee responsibilities and assigned roles.
  • Information Specialists
    • Assist the communications manager with gathering, analyzing and distributing information relevant to meetings, upcoming events, and strategies.
  • Marketing Research Specialists
    • Collects and assesses relevant data to initiate or refine Committee campaigns, quantify and improve member performance, and improve communication.
  • Public Relations Manager
    • Oversees the Committee’s public relations efforts, including with faculty, staff and media.
  • Public Relations Specialists
    • Utilize the aspects of written, verbal and media promotions to accomplish the committee’s public relations goals and initiatives.
  • Newsletter Editors
    • Design, collect information, and work to revise the Newsletter.
