How can I become a member of Sigma Alpha Delta?
We will send invitation emails to those who are eligible to join during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are selected based on their current GPA and number of credits completed. You can also start the process through our website by filling out our application form below. Please note: If you do not meet the academic requirements but expect to complete them by the end of the semester, you may still join Sigma Alpha Delta and begin working on the other prerequisites for induction.
How can I obtain a leadership position within Sigma Alpha Delta?
One major distinction between Sigma Alpha Delta and other Honor Societies in the nation, besides being student-run, is that in order to obtain a leadership position you must have effectively proven your dedication to our mission and goals throughout the semester. Beyond the academic requirements, students must actively participate in at least one of the committee’s activities, as well as volunteer throughout the semester. Induction into Sigma Alpha Delta takes place at the end of every semester. Early induction is possible if the active member is graduating from Baruch College the semester following the completion of all necessary requirements.
Does it cost anything to join?
It is FREE to join! Your active participation will count as a contribution to Sigma Alpha Delta Honor Society, Baruch College, and the community at large.
